(AUBURN) - An 18-year-old Auburn man is facing a felony child molesting charge following an investigation in DeKalb County.
Dameon Pocock has been charged with one count of child molesting.
According to court records obtained by WPTA, the victim reported the abuse last week. Pocock was booked into the DeKalb County Jail later that same day.
Court documents state Pocock admitted to the sexual abuse during the investigation. Records indicate he told investigators the activity was consensual while acknowledging the victim was below the age of consent.
If convicted, Pocock could face a maximum sentence of 16 years in prison.
His next court appearance is scheduled for July.
