(FORT WAYNE) - The Fort Wayne Zoo has welcomed a new litter of bat-eared foxes.

Zoo officials announced that Ripley recently gave birth to five kits. The litter marks the first offspring for both Ripley and the father, Mkhuseli.

According to the zoo, the first-time parents have remained attentive while the young foxes begin exploring their enclosure.

Visitors can see the bat-eared fox family in the zoo's African Journey exhibit. The zoo says guests may even hear the "pitter-patter of little fox feet" as the kits continue to grow and become more active.
