(BRONSON) - Authorities say no human remains were found during an extensive search Wednesday tied to an ongoing missing person investigation in Branch County.
The Branch County Sheriff's Office assisted Coldwater Police after investigators received information that a missing person may be deceased and that possible remains could be located behind the Promedica/Insight building in Bronson.
Cadaver dogs were brought in to search the area and provided a positive alert. The Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory also responded to assist with the investigation.
Despite an extensive search involving multiple agencies, authorities said no human remains were located.
The missing person investigation remains active, and officials say additional information is expected to be released soon.
