(ANGOLA) - Indiana Governor Mike Braun was in Angola Wednesday as part of his 92-county tour, according to a social media comment from his spokeswoman, Mary Trausch-Martin.
State Representative Tony Isa first shared the governor's visit in a social media post. Isa said Braun met with local business leaders about energy concerns and the importance of holding energy companies accountable.
Braun also stopped at Scoops in Angola for ice cream. According to Isa's post, the governor's flavor of choice was strawberry.
After WLKI shared the information publicly available from Isa's post, Trausch-Martin clarified in a social media comment that the Angola stop included a plant tour and a meeting that was closed to the public and media.
Trausch-Martin also said Braun is finishing his 92-county tour and that not all stops are open to the public or the media.
In response to a listener question, Trausch-Martin said the casino issue did not come up during the meeting.
