(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana is moving to speed up propane deliveries as cold weather drives up demand across the state.
Governor Mike Braun has signed an executive order temporarily waiving hours-of-service limits for drivers hauling propane. The move allows drivers to stay on the road longer, helping suppliers respond more quickly to heating needs for homes and businesses.
State officials say the waiver is designed to ease supply strain caused by extreme winter conditions and increased fuel demand. The order applies only to propane transport and keeps all other safety regulations in place.
The temporary waiver is set to expire December 20th, 2025.
