(FORT WAYNE) - Ivy Tech Community College is launching a major transformation of its Fort Wayne campuses with a $70 million investment aimed at growth, access, and modernization. College leaders announced the "Reinvest, Reinvent & Revitalize" project Wednesday during a community event that brought together educators and local officials. Fort Wayne Mayor Sharon Tucker called the investment a sign of a growing, healthy community. The multi-year project will roll out in three phases between January 2026 and June 2028. Phase one focuses on renovating the Student Life Center. Phase two includes building a new Nursing and Health Sciences facility and demolishing Carroll and Harshman Halls. The final phase will modernize Ivy Tech's Coliseum campus.
College officials say the upgrades will improve accessibility for students and expand educational capacity, especially in high-demand health care programs.
Ivy Tech leaders say the project reflects a long-term commitment to students, workforce development, and the future of Fort Wayne.
