(FORT WAYNE) - Indiana State Senator Liz Brown is responding publicly after losing her role as chair of the Indiana Senate Judiciary Committee, saying the leadership change reflects deeper challenges within the Republican caucus.

In a statement released to the media, Brown said Senate President Pro Tempore Rod Bray informed her that she would no longer serve as Judiciary chair. Brown suggested the move comes amid lingering fallout from the Legislature's redistricting process and internal caucus tensions following a turbulent fall session.

Brown acknowledged Bray's authority to restructure Senate leadership but said Republicans must continue working to rebuild trust and improve communication with voters.

She added that she remains focused on protecting conservative values in Indiana and advancing priorities supported by President Donald Trump.

Senate leadership has not issued a public response.
