(INDIANAPOLIS) - Indiana Fever fans now have a new way to show their team pride on the road while supporting community programs across the state. The Fever unveiled their first-ever specialty license plate Friday in partnership with the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
The plate features the team's signature "F" logo on a white background, with a red banner highlighting the Fever Fund. Standard vehicles will carry the "WB" prefix for women's basketball, while motorcycle plates will use the "EW" prefix, a nod to the team's "Expect to Win" motto.
Beyond team spirit, the plate is designed to give back. Of the $40 annual fee, $25 will be donated directly to the Fever Fund, which is managed by the Pacers Foundation. The fund supports 501(c)(3) organizations that focus on leadership development, career readiness, wellness through sports, and personal safety for women and girls throughout Indiana.
Indiana Fever Chief Operating Officer and General Manager Amber Cox said the plate reflects the organization's long-standing commitment to community engagement. She said each plate purchase helps extend the Fever's impact beyond the court and into classrooms and neighborhoods statewide.
Hoosiers can order the specialty plate immediately through myBMV.com, at any BMV branch, or at BMV Connect kiosks when renewing a registration. Personalized versions are also available for an additional fee, and drivers not yet due for renewal can upgrade in person for a small administrative cost.
Team officials say the new plate ensures the momentum of women's basketball continues to translate into lasting support for the next generation of Indiana's female leaders.
