Warmer temperatures are in store for much of the tri-state region, however it will be accompanied with rain for the next few days.

According to the National Weather Service, rain will be expected throughout much of the day today with a chance for thunderstorms later this evening. The chance for rain will linger throughout the early part of Friday, before yielding to partly sunny skies into the weekend with temperatures in the low 70s and upper 60s.

Another chance of rain returns to the forecast for the end of the weekend, with a 90% chance of rain expected for Sunday with highs still in the upper 60s.
