KENDALLVILE, IN - After much deliberation and a meeting with Noble County Health Officer Dr. Gaff, organizers with Kendallville’s Apple Festival say there will not be a festival in 2020.
In a public post to the community and fans of the annual event, Amanda Taylor, Executive Director, said the “decision was clear but heartbreaking”. Taylor said the planning team did not feel they were able to hold the Apple Festival and “meet the requirements set forth by the State of Indiana”.
Taylor said for now they look forward to October 2nd and 3rd, 2021 when they will hold the Apple Festival again.
She made a call out to festival goers to be sure to watch the Apple Festival website kendallville-apple-festival-dot-com and their Facebook page for information about ways to support the many vendors that participate in the festival.
The Kendallville Apple Festival takes place yearly on the first full weekend in October and has been going on since 1985. The festival attracts over 70,000 visitors annually and has a working budget of $80,000 dollars.
