The Angola Board of Public Works and Safety and the Angola Common Council approved new developments and the transfer of funds.
The Angola Council approved to temporarily transfer of $500,000 cash from the rainy-day fund to the fire operating fund. Council also held a public hearing for proposed rate changes to water utility as well as private hydrant rental and private sprinkler.
The Angola Board of Public Works and Safety approved the appointment of Tyler Richmond as a probationary firefighter to the Angola Fire Department with a start date of January 24, 2021. The Board of Works and Safety also approved a Stormwater Management BMP Facilities agreement with the owner of the new coffee shop development in front of Meijer located at 2991 Meijer Drive.
The next meeting from the Board of Public Works and Safety is Monday, February 1 st and Council will meet again on Monday, January 18.
