INDIANAPOLIS - Indiana’s unemployment rate in September remains at 2.8%, according to the Indiana Department of Workforce Development.

By comparison, the national unemployment rate in September stands at 3.5%, compared to 3.7% in August.

In addition, Indiana’s labor force participation rate held at 63.4% in September, remaining above the national rate of 62.3%.

Indiana’s total labor force, which includes both Hoosiers employed and those seeking employment, stands at 3,401,036 – a decrease of 707 from the previous month.
