As it has been said for several days, colder air will begin to arrive today with high temperatures occurring this morning, then beginning to fall this afternoon.
The National Weather Service says the majority of the area will remain dry, but a brief window for some showers exists this morning.
The cold air will continue to push in tonight and during the weekend with highs around 40 and lows at or below freezing. Forecasters says periods of snow showers will develop and linger through the weekend.
Some light snow accumulations are possible, mainly Saturday night.
