INDIANAPOLIS — The city of Angola is featured in grant wrap up video recently released from the Lt. Governor’s office.
Lt. Governor Suzanne Crouch, the Office of Community and Rural Affairs, and Indiana Humanities released a video on the completed Preserving Women’s Legacy Grant program and projects.
Grants were awarded to Indiana Main Street communities in 2020 in an effort to highlight and preserve women’s history.
The Downtown Angola Coalition, now Angola Main Street, used the PWLG grant to create a life size sculpture of abolitionist Sojourner Truth.
The statue stands in front of the Steuben County Courthouse.
More videos will be released throughout March on Angola and other PWLG projects.
