STATEHOUSE - A bill in the Indiana House would allow you to claim a new tax credit for a small donation.
Indiana Senate Bill 260 would allow you to claim a nonrefundable 25-percent tax credit if you happen to donate to a public school foundation in 2024 or 2025. The catch is it can’t exceed 1-thousand dollars filing single or 2-grand if you’re married filing jointly.
Proponents of the bill say the point is to help fund public school scholarships and other projects.
The bill is headed to the House.
