CROOKED LAKE, IN - A large number of people that live in and around the area of 290 West and Shady Side on Crooked Lake are unable to get in or out of their neighborhood due to trees and wires blocking access from both sides.

This area is on the south side of Crooked Lake's first basin. A resident told WLKI at 9 Am Thursday morning they have been trapped by the downed trees and wires for at least 10-12 hours.

This barrier from Wednesday's weather has affected roughly 50 households.

A resident of the neighborhood said, "I hope no one needs an ambulance or a fire truck to help them. There is no access to our homes."
