Garrett, IN - A house fire broke out south of Garrett Monday morning.

Reports indicate several fire departments, including the Garrett, LaOtto, Auburn, and Huntertown departments responded to the house fire in the 5700 block of County Road 327 in DeKalb County.

The fire reportedly happened a little before 8:30 a.m.

First units on the scene found heavy fire in one of the rooms in the house. There was no one in the home at the time of the blaze.

No injuries were reported, but the home was heavily damaged by fire.
