The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch through Saturday March 4th.
Forecasters say heavy wet snow is possible with total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches. Winds could gust as high as 45 mph.
The Watch is for portions of northern Indiana, southwest Michigan and northwest Ohio.
From Friday morning through Friday evening travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute. Gusty winds and heavy snow could bring down tree branches.
Rain is expected to change over to heavy snow over northern portions of the area, especially near the Michigan border.
Rapid snow accumulations are likely.
