LAGRANGE, IN - A rural LaGrange County home was destroyed early Tuesday morning.
Multiple fire departments from LaGrange and Steuben County responded to a reported structure fire located at 9505 East US 20.
The roadway in both directions on the east side of Brushy Prairie had to be shut down for a period while emergency crews responded.
The residents of the home were able to escape unharmed; however their cat perished in the blaze.
The home appears to be a total loss.
