Branch County Prosecutor Zach Stempien says that 35 year old Ember Finley plead guilty to one count each of possession with intent to deliver cocaine, possession with intent to deliver hydrocodone and fourth degree child abuse.

The Southwest Enforcement Team and Michigan State Police arrested Finley in February after making a drug buy during an an investigation that was prompted by community complaints.

When officers executed a search warrant at her Compton Street home, her four year old son was standing next to her as she attempted to flush items down the toilet.

During the search, officers seized several illegal narcotics including cocaine and a large amount of hydrocodone, which were both packaged, consistent with sale and distribution. Two stolen firearms was also located inside the home, along with digital scales, and five bills used by undercover officers to purchase drugs from Finley.

Stempien says the plea deal includes 36 months in prison on the statutory max on each felony. That is seven years on the hydrocodone charge and 20 years for the cocaine charge.
