(DEKALB COUNTY) – A Garrett man was injured when his garbage truck rolled over.
The DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office says 59 year old Keith Sparkman was driving his garbage truck north on I-69 near the 332 Mile Marker at 4:25 AM Monday. Sparkman says there was a deer in the road and he swerved to avoid it.
His garbage truck went off the road to the east, going into a ditch and rolling onto its side.
Sparkman was taken to Parkview Regional Medical Center to be treated for shoulder and head pain.
Assisting at the scene was the Waterloo Fire Department.
