(BRONSON TOWNSHIP) – An early morning fire did damage to a mobile home.
Bronson Fire Chief Scott Wilber says his department was called to a structure fire at 1145 Holmes Road in Bronson Township just after 12 AM Friday. Firefighters arrived and found a single wide mobile home on fire with flames showing from one end.
The Burr Oak Fire Department was called in to help battle the blaze.
Approximately 5000 gallons of water were used to put out the fire. There were no injuries, however a dog that was inside when the fire broke out did not survive.
Damages are estimated at $5,000 to the contents and $10,000 to the structure. The homeowner did not have insurance.
Wilber says the cause of the fire is still unknown.
