NOBLE TOWNSHIP – A man and a woman were arrested after they led authorities on a chase in Branch County's Noble Township.

Branch County Undersheriff Keith Eichler says that deputies tried to stop a vehicle on Dutch School Road near Sielkins Road on Saturday, but the suspect vehicle sped away and would not stop. The pursuit reached speeds of 110 miles per hour. The suspect turned south on Hurley Road and drove into a bean field.

They also tried to drive the vehicle through a dense wooded area, but crashed into a tree, and the occupants ran away. Eichler says a 28 year old South Bend woman was found an hour later in LaGrange County, Indiana. K-9 Deputy Chaos was called in and tracked the driver, a 48 year old Bronson man, who was also located in LaGrange County. He was wanted on several felony warrants in both Michigan and Indiana. Authorities are requesting charges of felony fleeing and eluding, felony habitual offender and felony malicious destruction of farm crops against the suspects.

Assisting with the search were the St. Joseph County Sheriff's Department, the LaGrange County Sheriff's Department, the Hillsdale County K-9 Officer and K-9 Officers with the Indiana State Police.
